They don't call him "Señor Suave" for nothing...

Melquin (pronounced "Milky") is the total package. He's got that natural suave with the ladies and isn't afraid one bit to grab the mic and bring the life to a party. He pimps the wife beater and wears sunglasses at night to the years hottest parties. The kid is on the fashion up and up. Melquin is consistently in the nations top ranking amateurs and oh yeah- he charges too.

Nobody is really sure what was running through his head that day but, as a first hand witness myself...he definitley paddled out into legitimate fifteen foot outer reef. On a 6'2". With NO leash. The wind was blowing hard that day- spray flying up the face of the waves made it super tricky to commit. Melquin instantly paddled into anything and everything that came his way. That day, he air-dropped in to five waves almost comlpletely blind before taking one on the head and was forced to swim in.

Melquin is somewhat of the unofficial ambassador at The Surf Sanctuary external link , where he works. He is generally well liked due to his positive demeanour and out going personality. Melquin has promoted himself from just another punk ass kid to "Señor Suave," everybody is stoked to see him in the line-up having fun, sharing waves, jokes, charging and boosting big, wild aerials.
